▍One puff is illegal? Debunking claims“cannabis is legal”

Have you ever seen someone say on social media that “cannabis is legal in Taiwan” or “cannabis use will be legalized in a certain month”?

Both of these statements are untrue!

The government has clearly stated that “growing cannabis” will not be decriminalized

According to the law in Taiwan, it is illegal to grow, transport, sell, use or possess cannabis. Doing so can result in a jail sentence of up to 7 years and a maximum fine of NT$5 million

The following are commonly seen illegal cannabis products:

•Items in which the controlled substance of cannabis is used as an additive

•Cannabis soft candy, chocolate, cookies

•Cannabis vape cartridges

•Cannabis soda
