▍What precautions should be taken for a typhoon?
1.Pay close attention to the television, internet or radio to get the latest updates on the typhoon
2.If you live in a low lying area, relocate to higher ground as soon as possible
3.Coastal residents should pay attention to the tide to prevent seawater flooding. Do not go to the coast or a river to watch the waves, play in the water, pick up rocks or fish
4.Anyone who lives in a mountainous area or a location where rockslides are possible, should cooperate with government organized precautionary evacuations
5.Prepare candles, a flashlight, batteries and cellphone batteries to be used in the event of a power outage
6.Check doors and windows are secure, close all that do not have to be used and if necessary nail wooden boards over them for protection

8.Clean out drainage ditches and ensure channels are not blocked, to prevent flooding
9.Prepare 3-4 days of food, fruit, vegetables, dry food and store water in case the water supply is cut off
10.Move all objects that cannot get soaked by rain to a safe location
11.Do not rush to harvest crops near a river bank to avoid being trapped or swept away by floodwater
